In November of 2022 the Irondequoit Community Orchestra presented a concert "We Write Orchestra Music" for children of all ages on several dates at different Public Library locations. This was made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts in collaboration with Rochester Area Community Foundation. The concerts were a great success and the Rochester Central Library, Irondequoit Library, and East Rochester Library all had a full audience with all seats taken and audience sitting along the walls and back.  The program was extremely well received with fantastic audience participation with the two commissioned pieces.
