Welcome to the Irondequoit Community Orchestra Homepage

The Irondequoit Community Orchestra Inc. is a New York non-profit, 501(c)3, corporation. Our mission is to provide a rich music experience for players, entertainment for the community, and educational interactions with the community and schools. We are a string orchestra and welcome all who wish to join.  We are a course in the West Irondequoit Community Education program and rehearse in the music room at the Dake Jr. High School on Wednesday evenings, 7:30-9:00 pm.

The ICO has two upcoming concerts. June 5 at Episcopal SeniorLife-Valley Manor and June 12 at the Irondequoit Public Library.  The Valley Manor concert has limited seating and is for mainly Valley Manor residents. The Irondequoit Library concert will have the same program and is open to the public. It will be a great concert!

In November of 2022 the Irondequoit Community Orchestra presented a concert "We Write Orchestra Music" for children of all ages on several dates at different Public Library locations. This was made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts in collaboration with Rochester Area Community Foundation. The concerts were a great success and the Rochester Central Library, Irondequoit Library, and East Rochester Library all had a full audience with all seats taken and audience sitting along the walls and back.  The program was extremely well received with fantastic audience participation with the two commissioned pieces.
